Weekly Road Closure Report 5/22/17
Good morning! Here is this weeks road closure report. If you do not see a project listed. The NCDOT has not released information on it or has it listed as a permanent closure with no estimated reopening.
Rain returns this afternoon
We have had a few spotty showers around the county already this morning. However, the heavier rain is coming. I am expecting a line of showers to move in around the 1-3 timeframe this afternoon depending on where you are in the county.
Slight chance for an isolated shower later tonight
As we close in on the weekend rain chances start to increase. A weak low pressure system will move north of the area today and with that we could see an isolated shower or two later this evening. If you are heading to All-Star Race qualifying and the Truck Race tonight.
Could see a quick burst of isolated showers today.
Models are starting to hint at a burst of isolated showers that could move through the county this afternoon. I don't see much to them but definitely something to keep an eye on for the after school trip home and maybe the evening commute for everyone working.

Good Monday Morning! Here is this weeks Road Closure report. If a project you are interested in is not listed. then the NCDOT has closed the project permanently or it is not listed currently on their site.
Rain moves in late this eveniing
Clouds are going to be around throughout the day. As we move throughout the late evening hours those clouds start to drop some rain. The storm and shower chances start to pick up right around 11pm this evening.
A wet pattern is starting
Rain moves back into the county today and this will be the beginning of a wet remainder of the week. There is a chance we could see some strong thunderstorms this afternoon. I explain more below.

Good Monday Morning! The list below is the weekly report for road closures and projects going on in the county as reported by the NCDOT. If a project is not listed it is either due to no information from the NCDOT or the project does not have an end date for this year.
Strong storms possible very late tonight
Do you ever notice that Mother Nature finds a way of interfere with our schedules? I mean it either storms during the Morning Commute, The Evening Commute or last at night when we put the kids to bed.
Snake Bites on the rise. Does weather play a part?
Snake sightings are on the rise and animal experts say keep your eyes peeled. That's the big warning from wildlife experts for anyone getting outside and enjoying the warmer weather.
Because we've had a mild winter with degrees consistently over 60 degrees the snakes are out,
