Today is race day at the Bank of America 500. It's raining now but things look good for the race to get underway and run in its entirety tonight. I will be there providing live in race updates to Slugger Labbe and Austin Dillon tonight.

As we are on the eve of the Bank of America 500 the rain we are dealing with today have had an effect on the activities at the track today. They have been canceled and the Xfinity Race has been moved to Sunday. The Bank of America 500 is still on for tomorrow.

Bank Of America 500 Weather Update
Today is the day events start at the track! I have stopped and picked up my credentials ready to go to work with Slugger Labbe and Austin Dillon providing them live weather updates throughout the race.
Wednesday Weather Update
All eyes of course are on Matthew and what impact the Hurricane will have on us if any here in Rowan County. As of right now everything looks to be very minimal. We still have at least 48 hours before we even begin to deal with Matthew if things stay the same in terms of the model track.

The excitement continues to build for the Bank of America 500 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway this Saturday. At the same time for race fans, the question remains, What about Matthew? The good news is the track has changed quite a bit since yesterdays' update. I will talk about that in a moment.

We are in for another pleasant day around the county again today. There's not much change from what we have all experienced over the past few days with the weather. That trend looks to continue over the next few days at least.
