Sunday Weather Update
We are off and running on a wet and cold Sunday. Let's take a look at what to expect for the remainder of the day in terms of the high, low and accumulation totals.

The love of Rowan County being Delivered to Tennessee Wildfire Victims
Last week as 87 mile per hour winds were causing wildfires to burn out of control in the areas of Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge Tennessee. I began to post updates here on Rowan County Weather. I must be honest as I felt some people would say dude this is Rowan County NC.
Saturday Weather Update
We are off and running on a very cool weekend here in Rowan County. We could see some rain move in late tonight to kick off a few days of on and off showers around the county. The high today will be very seasonal and the low tonight will be chilly.
Friday Weather Update
We are off to the beginning of what looks to be a very seasonal cold streak here for the county. If you are like me you had to get up and turn the heat back on in your home this morning. The high today will only max out around 56º
Thursday Weather Update
Now that we have had some rain a cold front has moved through the area and we will see some cooler temperatures set in starting today. The sun will be very dominant today in the skies around the county. The high today will top out at around 61º
Wednesday Weather Update
We certainly enjoyed some rain yesterday and more is on the way today. Plenty to talk about in today's update so lets get to it!

Tuesday Weather Update
For the first time in 51 days we have had measurable rainfall in Rowan County. This will end the longest dry streak in Rowan County history. The good news is we are not done yet and there is more rain coming late tonight and into the day tomorrow.
Monday Weather Update Rain is coming!
For the first time in a long time I am watching the radar for rain that is moving toward the county. Now this is not going to be a drought breaker but it will be nice to get some rain in the county as we have been very dry for quite sometime. The high today will top out around 57º
Rain Update for this week
We are finally starting to see the best rain chances we have had in sometime here in the county. Beginning late tomorrow and occurring off and on through Thursday morning. The only concern I have is the amounts have trended back down a bit. However, I am not surprised as well.
Rain Update for next week
As we head through the weekend. rain chances for next week continue to look very promising. All of this hinges on the development of a low pressure system in the souther United States.
