Now this is not going to be a drought breaker but it will be nice to get some rain in the county as we have been very dry for quite sometime. The high today will top out around 57º

We will have some gusty winds at times today as well with gust of around 25 miles per hour possible.

The low tonight will bottom out only a few degrees form our high. The low will be around 52º tonight because of the cloud cover trapping in heat.

Rain will move in during the overnight hours tonight and on Tuesday morning. The air is really dry here so it will take sometime for the rain to reach the ground. We will only see around two tenths of an inch of rain by tomorrow morning.

We will see rain continue off and on over the next few days before the event starts to wind down late Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Total accumulation over all between three quarters to an inch of rain in the county.

I will continue to provide updates right here and on my social media outlets as rain approaches and moves through the county. Enjoy your Monday everyone and get the rain gear ready for the next couple of days! As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
