Saturday Weather Update
If you are just waking up this morning. The temperature hovered around 27º last night. The air mass remained extremely dry overnight but we are starting to see signs of more moist warmer air moving in.
Update on the Freezing Rain Potiential
Hi everyone! I wanted to come back on real quick and give you the latest update on the Freezing Drizzle potential that is still being talked about around the area. I am continuing to check the models and I stand by more forecast I have provided all week for this event.
Freezing Friday Weather Update and will we see any ice?
We are finally moving into the weekend. The weather for this weekend has been a hot topic all along. I have consistently stated we will not see any frozen precipitation here in Rowan County. I am still maintaining this will be a cold rain event for us.
Winter Weather Weekend Update
I continue to see things trending downward on the chance for winter weather this weekend for Rowan County. I have stated from the beginning I just don't see the ingredients coming together for this to occur. I continue to stand by that pledge.
A freezing cold Thursday weather update
Big time temperature changes form just 24 hours ago. Things are cold and they will only get colder as we go throughout the next 24-36 hours. Please remember to check on elderly loved ones & outdoor pets! The high today will top out around 38º
Weekend Winter Weather Update
As I have posted for the last few days. There is just not much to buy into on the possibility of wintry precipitation this weekend. The window is so tight and the chance of it happening is limited to a very small area.
Wednesday Weather Update
The sun is coming back for the first time in a few days. This will be that last day of our current warm up as temperatures are going to plunge tomorrow through Sunday Morning. Today will be a nice mix of sun and clouds with occasional gusty winds. The high today will top out around 51º
A Dry Fall and November. How does that put us for the year?
We are completely finished with what is deemed as meteorological fall. I thought we could take this opportunity to see how we stacked up compared to previous fall seasons on record as well as how November stacked up. I will finish this article up with how we are looking for the year as well.
Wintry precipiation still not likely this weekend.
As we continue to move closer to the weekend. The rumor of snow by other weather outlets continues to be just that. A rumor! As I continue to look at the models for the upcoming weekend there is still not enough to suggest wintry precipitation be something that is likely to occur.

The weather for today is warmer than we have been in a few days. However, this will be a short lived warm up. Enjoy it while you can. The high today will top out at around 50º
