Snow Rumor Update
As I reported yesterday there was a lot of concern going around form the rumor of a social media weather outlet stating we could see some winter weather this weekend in the area.
Monday Weather Update
What a dreary start to the work week! The weather today is going to be kind of an annoyance overall. The high today will top out around 57º
Rumor of Snow Next Weekend Not Likely
There are some social media outlets who like to look at long range models and try to paint a picture of gloom and doom along with wish casting.
Sunday Weather Update
It has been a cold weekend and now we start to talk about rain chances building as we start off this new week. The high today will top out at around 45º
Saturday Weather Update
Baby it's cold outside!!!! Not much is going to change throughout the day today as the cold air is locked in place for the next 24 - 36 hours. The high today is only going to make it to around 42º
A Cold Friday On Tap
It's a cold and very arctic like Friday here in the RoCo! Please remember to bundle up if you head out today. Also do not forget elderly loved ones and please remember those outdoor animals. If you are cold outside. Guess what they are too! The high today will briefly top out at 40º
Drought Update 12/8/16
The latest drought update has been issued. No changes for the county. The areas of the state that needed some help were areas in western NC and those areas certainly got it As you cna see from the picture below areas in western NC have been upgraded to moderate drought.
Arctic Air Is Moving In
It has been a chilly Thursday but the Arctic Cold Air is moving into the county now and things are going to get down right cold! As of 2pm we were sitting at around 49º around the county.
Tuesday Weather Update
Rain continues to fall around the area and the county. It's another dreary day but this is some much needed rain!
The high today will only top out around 47º
Monday Weather Update
We had just under 1 inch of rain at the weather center yesterday and more rain will be moving into the county later this evening. Enjoy the dry conditions while you have them during the day as we look to stay wet throughout the day tomorrow as well.
