Friday Weather Update
Things will start to look up this afternoon instead of the gloomy skies w have seen this morning. Clouds will start to break and the sun will come out. If you are heading out to the football games tonight things should feel pretty good!
Drought Update
Abnormally dry conditions continue around the county as we continue to be in desperate need of rainfall

We have already had some light rain falling around the county this morning and those isolated chances will start to diminish as we move through the day.

A look back at Hurricane Hugo
It has been 27 years since Hurricane Hugo made it's landfall in the state of South Carolina. That event was single handedly the main reason I fell in love with weather. The fact that the storm brought so much power that was unforeseen to the county and the area.

The good news is we are finally seeing some isolated light showers around the county. It's not going to be enough to break the abnormal drought conditions we are currently in but at this point we just need any rain we can get!

We have been dry for over two weeks now. With a little luck later today that will change. There is a chance for some isolated showers and thunderstorms later today.
