Tuesday Weather Update. Rain and Wind will start to diminish as we move through the day.

Tuesday, September 12, 2017 - 9:10am

Irma certainly gave us what she had to offer from the far right of the storm. We had some power outages related to Irma around the county and as of the time of this article we are at around 480 outages in the county per Duke Energy. The good news is we are going to slowly start to see improvement around the county. The rain is slowly starting to move out of the county and the area. Winds will be around a little later in the day as the winds are far outside of what is left of Irma. For today we will see a high of around 74º

Winds will continue to be sustained for a. little while longer at around 15 miles per hour.

With Gust around 25 miles per hour. The good news is the winds are going to diminish as we move through the day.

As far as rainfall goes here's the latest look at Rowan Doppler Radar. Pockets of light rain moving through the county currently.

As far as accumulations go we will most likely see around a quarter to a half of an inch more for rainfall. Most of which may have already fallen this morning around the county.

Enjoy your Tuesday everyone. Things start to warm back up tomorrow and we could see 80's by the weekend. I will of course keep you updated right here and on social media. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
