Monday Weather Update

Monday, December 5, 2016 - 11:33am

We had just under 1 inch of rain at the weather center yesterday and more rain will be moving into the county later this evening. Enjoy the dry conditions while you have them during the day as we look to stay wet throughout the day tomorrow as well.

The high today will top out at around 56º

Winds will be a little gusty at times but nothing to serious around 16 miles per hour.

The low tonight will bottom out around 43º

The real story for today will be the rain that will move in from the gulf starting later tonight around 6pm and will continue off and on with some heavy downpours at times during the day tomorrow. Looking for rain to start around 6pm in the western areas of the county.

Accumulations through midnight tonight could be anywhere form a half of an inch to three quarters of an inch

Please remember the burn ban is still in place. Just because it has rained and will rain doesn't mean its safe to burn. Enjoy your day everyone and I will provide updates as the rain starts to move into the county later today. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
