Wednesday Weather Update
You may have noticed during the day yesterday that even though it was in the 80's. The air did not feel bad at all. That trend continues today as we top out with a high in the upper 70's
Possible Microburst hits Unity Church Rd. Area
This past Saturday we had some isolated storms and showers move into the county and pass through between the hours of 8 and 11pm. While covering weather on site for the Pops at the Post event I was actively on radar keeping up to date on storms as they approached the county.
Tuesday Weather Update
The weather today will certainly begin to feel different than what we have felt over the past week or so here in Rowan County. The high will still be up there as we peak in the upper 80's today for the temperature. Based on the model information below it will be 87º today for the high.
Monday Weather Update
I hope you enjoyed your weekend and are settling back into the work week. Quick update on the weather for today. Looking at the possibility of a wet commute home for the work crowd and rain lasting into the evening.
Severe Weather Threat for this afternoon and evening.
As we go through the day today a cold front will approach and move through the area. As it does it will bring an increased threat of severe weather along with it. The main threat will be damaging winds. Other threats include downpours, lightning and hail.
Saturday Weather Update
If you have any plans outside today. I would certainly go ahead with your plans. The best thing you can do is ensure you and everyone you are with is staying hydrated! The temperatures today will be the highest we have had all year.
Friday Evening Weather Update
What a hot day it has been! If you are looking to get some relief in the way of rain. I am afraid we will see very limited shower and storm chances tonight.
Look for the temperatures to dip down to only the low 70's by late this evening.
Strong to Severe storms possible tonight
The last few days we have been dealing with the heat and some scattered chances for isolated showers and storms. As you have noticed over the past few days the storms and showers that have developed have been slow movers.

We are on the first day of Meteorological Summer. This is when all records that will fall under the Summer Seasonal Category are kept. Even though the calendar doesn't ring in Summer for a few more weeks.
