Showers ad storms for Sunday looking very scattered.
The trend continues in the models for the shower and storm chances on Sunday to be very widely scattered and weak.
Sunday storms continue to look generally weak
I have been posting for a few days about the upcoming thunderstorm chances on Sunday. The models continue to trend to a higher threat west of our area. The biggest threat looks to exist in the mountains and along the Gulf Coast.
Sunday starting to look more like General Thunderstorms
In my last blog post I stated our next round of Thunderstorms would move into the area on Sunday. Over the past 24 hours the models continue to indicate we will likely see Thunderstorms in the area and around the county. The good news is the severe threat may stay to our west.
Next Round of Thunderstorms to come Sunday
We certainly had some interesting weather around the county last night with quite a bit of hail, lightning and gusty winds. We face our next round of Thunderstorms this coming Sunday.

I mentioned yesterday how I was begriming to track our next system that would bring the potential for rain and thunderstorms to the county late Tuesday evening.

Good Monday morning! It's time to check out the weekly road clusre update form the NCDOT. If you don't see a road mentioned it is because the NCDOT has not listed this porject or the closure is permanent.
Chance for Thunderstorms Tuesday Night
As we begin to look ahead to our next round of rain that will move through the area. The models are indicating we could see some thunderstorm activity with them as well.
Saturday Weather Update
The rains are starting to move out. It is possible we could see one more brief line of showers later this afternoon. The clouds will begin to part later today and we could see the sun by later afternoon and early evening. The good news is warmer air is moving in.

We are coming up on the end of the work week and rain starts to move in later this evening for us. We will also see temperatures a little higher today than they have been. The high today will top out at around 58º
Isolated Showers Possible Friday Night
As we are coming to the close of another work week. We could see some late evening isolated showers have an impact on events around the county. The good news is these showers will begin to usher in warmer air. The bad news is they will likely be around into the day on Saturday.
