Rain moves in late this eveniing
Clouds are going to be around throughout the day. As we move throughout the late evening hours those clouds start to drop some rain. The storm and shower chances start to pick up right around 11pm this evening.
A wet pattern is starting
Rain moves back into the county today and this will be the beginning of a wet remainder of the week. There is a chance we could see some strong thunderstorms this afternoon. I explain more below.
Weekly Road Closure Report 5/8/17
Good Monday Morning! The list below is the weekly report for road closures and projects going on in the county as reported by the NCDOT. If a project is not listed it is either due to no information from the NCDOT or the project does not have an end date for this year.
Strong storms possible very late tonight
Do you ever notice that Mother Nature finds a way of interfere with our schedules? I mean it either storms during the Morning Commute, The Evening Commute or last at night when we put the kids to bed.
Snake Bites on the rise. Does weather play a part?
Snake sightings are on the rise and animal experts say keep your eyes peeled. That's the big warning from wildlife experts for anyone getting outside and enjoying the warmer weather.
Because we've had a mild winter with degrees consistently over 60 degrees the snakes are out,
Severe storms possible this evening.
Off and running for another work week and storms may play a part in the evening commute. The system that has been wreaking havoc on the Midwest areas and the panhandle section of the country will make its way through our area tonight.

Good Monday Morning! Here is this weeks Road Closure Update. All project information below is from the NCDOT. Any project not listed either has no information or is a permanent closure.
A line of Broken Showers and Storms Possible this afternoon
We could see a few isolated showers and storms this afternoon. Some of the storms could be on the strong side but I don't see anything severe to worry with at this point. As we move through the day we will see a high of around 78º
A look at the flooding on the Yadkin River
Over the weekend the rains came to the county and as they did they brought some huge totals of rainfall with them. 5.34 inches here at the weather center in Atwell with anywhere form 3-6 inches around the county.
Flood Watch Continues
Rains continue around the county and will be around throughout the day. Flooding will become a concern. Please do not drive over flooded roadways. The rains will keep temperatures down today with the high only reaching around 55º
