The weather today is certainly being watched by a lot of folks. There are events occurring all around the area. The concern from everyone is when will it rain and will it impact the events and plans I have today. The good news is for most of the day the threat is isolated .

We are off and running for the weekend. There is some encouraging news with the latest track for Hurricane Nate that I will get to in a moment. Lets talk first about what to expect for the day. We will see a high of around 79º

All eyes for this weekend are on Tropical Storm Nate. The track continues to remain the question. I will say this depending on the models things are very widely scattered in terms of impacts here in the county.

Cooler Air starts moving in tonight
It has been hot! I mean this hasn't even felt like Fall at all! Yesterday we had our 18th 90º day of the year. Well below the average mark of days with temperatures reaching 90 or more. The good news is the long wait ends in a matter of hours.
Its been 2 weeks since Rowan County has had measurable rainfall
It's been a while since it has rained. As a matter of fact you have to go back to September 12th when we got 1.15 inches of rainfall. We have officially not had a drop of rain since that time. In the forecast I do not have rain coming at all for the period.
