It's Sunday and there is a lot going on today. We have the Coke 600 being ran tonight as well as normal Sunday activities such as church. The big impact today and into the day on Memorial Day is what is now Tropical Depression Bonnie.

Memorial Day Weekend Storm
All eyes right now are pointed to the Atlantic Ocean and Invest 91L The storm itself is really unorganized and making its way through the Atlantic Ocean. If it gets a name is will be Bonnie. However, don't worry about the name and where the center of circulation will make landfall.
Coke 600 Weather Preview
I know there are many of you that will be going over the Charlotte Motor Speedway Sunday for the running of the Coke 600. The question that continues to get asked of me is what is the weather expected to be like. I must be honest I don't like the chances of a full race being possible.
Thursday Weather Update
The heat is certainly on today around the county. We are looking at highs topping out today in the upper 80's
Wednesday Weather Update
As you have probably already noticed the temperature is definitely on the rise for the first time in a few weeks. We are on our way to temperatures in the mid to upper 80's today. Looking at 85º by around 4pm.
Tuesday Morning Weather Update
I hope you are enjoying your Tuesday so far! Let's take a look at the highlights for us from the weather today. Temperatures will be warmer than they have been. We will see highs in the upper 70's today with some areas possible seeing some low 80's in the county.
A recap of May to this point and how we stack up for the year
It's certainly been a wet month of May. However, this month is not the wettest May on record. That distinction goes to May 1975 with a total of 8.25 inches of rain for the entire month. Currently May 2016 ranks as Rowan County's 26th wettest at 5.64 inches.
Monday Weather Update
Today may be the last day for sometime where we see temperatures this cool. Highs the remainder of the week are projected to go into the 80's while today we top out around 70º
A Comfortable Sunday Ahead
After the rain we have had over the past few days. I think we are due for a comfortable day to get outside right? Well if you said yes to that question then today is your day! We have some warmer weather heading this way later in the week. The 80's will return.
