The main thing everyone should keep fresh on their minds today is to stay hydrated! Today is going to be extremely hot and could also bring the threat of strong to severe thunderstorms around the county again.

Over the past few weeks I have been providing drought information here on Rowan County Weather. There were abnormal drought conditions that were starting to persist in the northwestern portion of the county. Specifically in the Cleveland area. The good news is.

After yesterday's strong storms the question on every ones mind is will we see a repeat today. First let me start off by saying not likely. The conditions today are not as favorable for storms to become severe.

The weather today is going to be a roller coaster ride in some ways. The real concern for most of the day will be the heat index. It is likely we will see the heat index in the upper 90's today.
