At 657 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles south of Ronda to 7 miles west of
Huntersville to 10 miles southwest of Chester. Movement was east at
80 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Rock Hill, Uptown Charlotte, Huntersville, Kannapolis, Downtown
Concord, Monroe, Salisbury, Statesville, York, and Chester.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Conditions are favorable for development of a very brief, weak
tornado. Be prepared to take immediate action if a tornado is sighted
or a Tornado Warning is issued.
