Get ready for rain

We have been forecasting for several days that rain would move into the county and the area today. For most of the day we will see off and on showers. More widespread rain will move in later this evening as we transition to the overnight hours. 

The widespread rain will continue off an on through the overnight hours. Throughout the day Wednesday and right into the day Thursday. Localized flooding will be an issue in the usual trouble spots. If you have an area that typically floods with general thunderstorms then the time to prepare is now. Clear storm drains and give the water a chances to flow. 

Two to three inches of rainfall accumulation is possible from now until early Thursday morning with rain continuing around the county and the area through the morning hours of Thursday before coming to an end and giving way to some clearing and drying for the last half of Thursday and all day Friday before our next system moves in for the weekend bringing a few more inches of rainfall to the county and the area.
