advertise your local business here »With a rough month of April for the crown. It is certainly no surprise fans and supporters are anxious to see the club turn it around. After their recent loss to NYCFC the club has fallen out of contention for the playoffs. Now of course the season is not over yet and it may not be a Defcon 5 situation for the club as of this time. A poor month of May collectively could lead to a rough summer for fans.
The Crown takes on Portland this Saturday at bank of America Stadium. This is the first head-to-head meeting between these two clubs. Both of these clubs are coming off a loss in their last outings. Both in need of a desperate win or draw at the very least. On paper Portland seems to have the edge in terms of scoring. Portland has scored 20 goals to the Crowns 10 goals so far this season. Portland on average has lost their matches by just one goal as opposed to the Crown on average losing by three goals in their matches. The Crown needs to have a strong game from Kerwin Varga, Patrick Aygeman and Captain Ashley Westwood and the club needs to ensure that Portland struggles especially when it comes to Evander, Felipe Mora & Santiago Moreno.
Coming up later in the month the crown will welcome Nashville FC to Bank of America Stadium Charlotte FC has a record of 1-2-1 against Nashville and are looking to recover from a loss earlier this season the Nashville FC. We then travel to the windy city to take on Chicago Fire. The crown has a winning record against the Fire with a 3-1 record and will look to continue to winning ways against the Fire. We return back to the Bank after our short road trip to take on LA Galaxy. Both clubs have split the previous two matches they have had, and the crown will hope to take the edge overall against the LA squad. We remain home to take on Philadelphia at Bank of America Stadium a team the crown has struggled against in the past winning only one out of four previous appearances. Charlotte FC will wrap up the month of May on the road against a squad known for playing the crown rough. Charlotte FC has an overall record against the Red Bulls of 1-2-2 mainly because the club has allowed the red Bulls to determine the style of play on the pitch.
This will be a make-or-break month for Charlotte Fc at this point in the season. The crown needs to take advantage of getting as many points as possible in the home matches at the Bank and if they can sneak in a point or two on the road things will look promising on the other side.
