As we got closer to the match New England Head Coach Caleb Porter made a promise that his team would get the win. The lone goal of the match came from New England Charles Gill at the 45+3-minute mark just prior to the half. There were chances for the crown on occasion during the match with Patrick Agyemang having two crucial opportunities one of which was a clean shot on goal after stealing the ball away from the New England goalkeeper early in the match. Both of which resulted in no goal for the crown. The crown returns home to Bank of America Stadium Saturday night where they will look to rebound against A Toronto team with only one loss against them this season. After the loss Charlotte is currently ninth on the table for the Eastern Conference and would have to play their way into the playoffs if they happened today.
