MATCH PREVIEW: Charlotte FC vs. New England Revolution

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Friday, April 5, 2024) – Charlotte FC is back on the road after two consecutive home matches, traveling to face the New England Revolution on Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

CLTFC is 2-2-2 on the season, picking up two home wins over New York City FC (in the home opener) and defending MLS Cup Champions Columbus Crew. Head Coach Dean Smith's squad will be aiming to notch their first road win of the 2024 season on Saturday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.

The New England Revolution have yet to win in MLS play in 2024 and lost 4-0 at home to Club America in the first leg of their Concacaf Champions Cup Quarterfinal on Tuesday. However, the team still boast a strong roster led by 2021 MLS MVP Carles Gil.

Clint Peay the coach for the Revolution made a promise yesterday morning that could backfire on him saying the New England squad would win this weekend. In response the crown Head Coach Dean Smith said "He shouldn't make promises he might not be able to keep" 

The action on the field will be hot while the weather will be cold with a 60% chance of snow showers otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low in the mid 30's. winds out of the north around 10 mph. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
