Sunday Weather Update

Sunday, September 18, 2016 - 10:16am

We have been dry for over two weeks now. With a little luck later today that will change. There is a chance for some isolated showers and thunderstorms later today. We could see measurable accumulation if we get lucky enough for a shower or storm to pass through.Let's take a look at what to expect.

The high today will top out around 87º

The dew points will make the outside air feel uncomfortable at times.

We will see the low bottom out around 67º

Now as I mentioned at the beginning of this blog. Today is the first day in over two weeks we have a shot at some isolated showers and thunderstorms that could bring measurable accumulation to the county. The showers and storms will be isolated and I think if you live west of 85 you have a slightly better chance to see the showers and storms.

Accumulation totals of around two tenths of an inch is possible from these storms and showers if you are lucky enough for one to develop in your area.

If you are heading out to the Panthers game today I think the rain holds off until after the game is over. No matter what you are doing today enjoy your Sunday! As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
