Doug Rice President of PRN Radio and Rowan County Resident

Today I had the privilege of interviewing Rowan County resident Doug Rice about his legendary broadcasting career. We recapped the NASCAR season and took a look ahead to the upcoming season. Dough gave advice to anyone looking to make their way into broadcasting and tips on how to hone their skills. 

Doug as mentioned is a veteran broadcaster; that has covered NASCAR since 1980. He is currently president and co-anchor of the PRN broadcast for the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races.

Member of the board of directors of the National Motorsports Press Association. Currently serving on the board of the National Sportscaster and Sportswriter Association.

Specialties: Sportscaster specializing in motorsports, public speaking of all types, after-dinner, inspirational. storytelling and informative. Doug has emceed several hundred major sport and corporate functions and truly enjoys that type of work. He is available to emcee events as long as it doesn't interfere with his work for PRN.
