A few photos have been posted on my social media pages which you can access at the bottom of the webpage you are on now.
Update 7:51pm The racing action has gotten underway with the Carolina Crate Modified Series Central Logistics 75 race. The race to this point has been action packed with several red flags and cautions having been issued. It has gotten to a point where the series has announced they will count caution laps the rest of the way in this race. Creating new strategy for the teams involved. To this point it looks as if it may be Jake Cromb's race to lose about halfway through the race.
Update 8:32pm The Carolina Crate Modified Series Central Logistics 75 has been suspended to allow time for the Brushy Mountain Powersports 150 to start as close to its scheduled time as possible. The CCMS cars will return to the track following the Brushy Mountain Power Sports 150. As of this time the main event is currently on lap 18 with Austin Beers leading the race.
Update 8:44pm A caution is out on the track with some pit strategy coming to the surface. Matt Hirschman led a group of cars down pit road while Austine Beers stayed out to maintain the lead. Ronnie Silk decided to stay out on the track as well putting himself on a different pit strategy late in the championship battle.
Update 8:55pm Lapp 66 Caution comes out just after Matt Hirschman takes the lead from Austin Beers. The caution was brought out after Doug Coby was spun out. As pit road opens Ryan Newman leads several cars in for service along with Ron Silk and Austin Beers.
Update 9:02pm just past halfway a single car spin has brought out the caution. Matt Hirschman continues to lead while Austin Beers on fresh tires has moved back into the top 10 to the 8th spot.
Update 9:12pm Ryan Newman has taken the lead as caution comes out for the 5th time in the race as Heagy has an engine issue bringing out the caution. As pit road opens literally every car is coming in for the final time today to use up what remaining tires they have left.
Update 9:21pm Austin Beers gets penalized for running over equipment on pit road. Sending Austin to the back of the field likely costing Austin the chance for a championship in the modified series this season.
Update 9:25pm Bobby Labonte's night has come to an end as he lost the right front tire off his car on lap 119. Matt Hirschman is currently leading this race as we get closer to the closing laps.
Update 9:30pm Anthony Nocella brings out the 7th caution of the evening. When we get the restart there will be 19 laps to go with Matt Hirschman leading the race and Ron Silk in second.
