Friday Weather Update

Friday, August 19, 2016 - 10:11am

We have made it to the end of another work week. Let's see what weather this Friday has in store for us going into the weekend.

The high today will, top out around 90º This may be the last 90º we see for at least a few days as a weak cold front comes through

Dew Points will be in the 70's making the outside air feel a little oppressive today.

As I mentioned earlier a weak cold front in going to move in and kind of stall out in the area for the weekend. That will bring on and off rain chances in the form of showers and thunderstorms. (If you are going to High School Football Games tonight. I will post a separate update shortly on what to expect from the weather during tonights games) Isolated areas or rain will move in later this afternoon and evening. This will be more of a pesky disturbance and inconvenience for the most part.

As far as accumulation chances go. I would expect very minimal accumulation as I think most of the activity will stay to our south and west stray showers are possible but heavy downpours are not likely.

Enjoy Your Friday everyone! As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
