Sunday Weather Update

Sunday, July 31, 2016 - 10:24am

We are in for another day with hot temperatures and isolated chances for showers and thunderstorms. The dew points will make the air feel oppressive. However, if you saw my earlier post on social media. We have had less days this year at 90º or more than we had last year to this point.

The high today will be 93º

The dew points will make the air feel oppressive at 71º

I do think we see some isolated showers and storms move in later this afternoon and evening.

Not much accumulation is expected unfortunately.

We are currently 7.62 inches below normal for the year on rainfall totals. We are certainly getting to a point where rainfall is becoming a need!

Please remember to follow these important heat safety guidelines.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone! As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
