With 9 more days left in the month counting today. We could move up the ranks a few more places.
This May has also been a cool May. How does it rank overall for the county?
This May currently ranks the coldest of all time in Rowan County recorded history.
With the cooler temperatures and above average rainfall for the month how has that help us for the year?
Currently we are 3.65 inches below normal on precipitation for the year. Much better than we were a week ago at this time.
How are we stacking up overall compared to previous years?
Currently we are in a three way tie for 45th all time coldest in Rowan County for the year. Warmer temperatures ahead will certainly change that standing.
As far as precipitation this year we currently stand at the 25th driest of all time.
