However, the bigger story for the weekend will be the cold arctic air that moves into the county on the back side of that rain. Sunday we will see the highs around 54° throughout the county.

By Sunday evening we will see the temperature plummet almost 30° from the high to a low of around 18° with Arctic air pushing through the region

For the Martin Luther King holiday we will only warm up to just above the freezing mark during the day we will see a high of only 34°

Monday evening we will see the temperatures plummet back down into the low 20's to around 21°

Tuesday we will start to see temperatures return to more of a normal high and low for this time of year as we will reach a high in the mid 40's on Tuesday

Tuesday evening we will drop back down to around the freezing mark as we will see temperatures of around 32° As we continue to move through the remainder of next week we see a warm front move back through bringing temperatures back into the mid to upper 50's. There is still a lot of winter left and with some of the long range models some of our coldest air yet could move through the region and the county during the month of February. I will of course be right here to keep you posted. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
