Rowan County Weather is growing.

Rowan County Weather started as a personal special interest I had in keeping the residents of Rowan County informed on weather forecast specific to Rowan County. The service started on Facebook and Twitter in July of 2013. Over that time Rowan County Weather has saw growth in terms of followers on each social media platform. My Facebook page as of this post has over 11,450 followers. My Twitter page has almost 3,900 followers. In February of 2016 Rowan County Weather officially started it's website, rowancountyweather.com and has had over 153,000 site visitors. Advertising for local small businesses has become a part of Rowan County Weather as well. In February of this year I announced an advertising partnership with the Rowan County Tourism Bureau for it's Rowan Arts & Ag 2018 campaign. This campaign will feature special events going on around the county this year. Starting with the Beer Festival in Gold Hill on April 7th. 

Now it's time for the latest announcement in the growth of Rowan County Weather! I officially filed papers with the state of North Carolina this week to make Rowan County Weather a small business. The approval was granted from the state to Rowan County Weather this afternoon and the title for a business standpoint is officially, Rowan County Weather L.L.C. 

What does this mean in terms of services Rowan County Weather has provided? Nothing changes. This just gives me more opportunities to continue to improve this service by adding additional business opportunities to fund the service. I am proud to have the list of current sponsors behind Rowan County Weather such as; True South Shop L.L.C., South End Barber Shop, Goodnight's Lawn Care Service, Correct-A-Wreck Paint & Body, Bella's Barkery, S.A. Sloop Heating & Air, C.E. Howard Electric, Lularoe Candice Weathers, Rowan County Homes & Lifestyles, and The Rowan County Tourism Bureau. The weather forecast you are used to getting will continue to be the biggest part of Rowan County Weather. This is a weather outlet first and foremost. Occasionally I provide breaking news alerts specific to the county. 

I will continue to provide weather updates to Rowan Salisbury Schools to assist with closings and cancellations. The City of Salisbury will continue to get weather updates as well to plan ahead for transit and other services during severe weather events.
