We celebrate 2 years of rowancountyweather.com today!!!!!

Two years ago today this website was launched in an effort to expand the service of Rowan County Weather to residents who do not use social media. I am so proud of the accomplishments of this site in the first two years. I wanted to take a moment to talk about those accomplishments and provide insight on whats to come. 

The webiste is about to welcome its 150,000th site visitor. many of our visitors come back to the site 2-3 times a day for  up to the minute information.

This website offers many resources for the residents of Rowan County. Starting on the homepage. You can check the radar anytime simply by checking the top of the page. The homepage also offers information from the daily blog post and local businesses around the county that advertise with Rowan County Weather. 

There is an events section to the site that provides the latest advisories, watches and warnings for the county when severe weather threatens. You can get information on upcoming community events I will be. The latest closings and cancellations for schools, businesses & organizations around the county. 

The small businesses around the county that advertise with the website have been great and we will continue to offer options to advertise for those businesses. I am excised to announce that I have been talking with the Visit Rowan County Tourism Bureau about advertising with the site as well to offer community and county events. With those events I will provide specific forecast so that if you are attending the event you know what to expect from the weather. 

I can't wait to see what the future holds for he website! We will celebrate 5 years of Rowan County Weather on our social media pages this June! I am looking forward to that.
