Please take a moment to visit our local sponsors to let them know that you appreciate their support of our blog.

Since the beginning of October we have been below normal each month for rainfall totals. In October we ended with a deficit of 1.21 inches below normal. For the month of November we had a deficit of 2.72 inches of rainfall and for the month of December we are currently in a deficit of 0.17 inches of rainfall.
The good news is for the year we are around 5 inches above normal for rainfall on the year. If we can continue to see accumulating rainfall totals that put os over for the month of December, January and February we will see the drought conditions improve. The good news is the forecast does have us with quite a few opportunities for rainfall over the next 5 days. That will likely help us finish above normal for the month of December and keep us above normal for the year!
I will of course provide updates right here and on social media as always! Thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
