Todays weather and the updated track for Hurricane Maria
Good morning! Not much to talk about in terms of todays weather but the latest track for Hurricane Maria is starting to look up for the Carolina Coast! Lets start with the real easy call for today. We will see Mostly Sunny skies with a high of around 86º there is a very slight chance of an isolated shower. Your chances are better staying dry but can't rule out an isolated shower around the county.

The latest advisory for Hurricane Maria is looking up for the Carolina Coast. The storm is currently a Category 3 storm. The track has the storm turning back out to sea early next week so the impacts along the coast will be minimal for this storm. Beach erosion is likely from the rough surf and tropical storm force winds are possible along the Cape Hatteras National Seashore other wise things are not looking too bad for the coast with the latest update.

Tropical Storm Force Winds are likely along the outer edges of the outer banks from Bodie Island down through Wilmington from Maria as she takes a close run at the coast.

The latest spaghetti plots are all in pretty good agreement with the storm taking the turn back out to sea. This is a good sign that the storm will likely follow that path.

I will of course continue to keep you updated right here and on social media throughout the upcoming days on the track of Maria. and all that is weather related for the county. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
