Total Solar Eclipse less than 24 hours away!

We are now less than 24 hours away from the Total Solar Eclipse. The forecast looks great! I wanted to take a moment to give you an update and also share with you a video for safe viewing tips during the eclipse. 

The peak for the Eclipse is at 2:41 pm tomorrow so I want to show you the Future Cast Rainfall potential for 2 & 3pm tomorrow. There will be isolated showers and storms in the mountains but we look dry here in the county.

The cloud cover looks to also be confined to the mountains and down toward the coast. The skies look clear for us here in the county.

The high temperature at the beginning of the Eclipse will be around. 88º That temperature is expected to drop around 20¹ during the Eclipse so we could see the temperature around the low 70's to upper 60's by the peak of the Eclipse.

If you still do not have any safety glasses. You can check with the local branch of the Rowan County Public Library. They are offering free viewing glasses and safety sessions starting at 10:30 am on Monday.
