Slight chance for an isolated shower later tonight

As we close in on the weekend rain chances start to increase. A weak low pressure system will move north of the area today and with that we could see an isolated shower or two later this evening. If you are heading to All-Star Race qualifying and the Truck Race tonight. Things look to stay north of the track.

We could see a few isolated showers move through the county around 8pm this evening but it will take a lot for those to develop. The difference will be how long the front holds out as it moves north of us. Models are indicating the front will break apart. 

Accumulations look to be light and only likely in the northwest portion of the county. I will continue to track the system as it moves closer throughout the day and provide updates right here and on social media. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
