Latest DOT Road Closures around the County

I am going to try my best starting on Monday of each week to provide you all with updates of NCDOT Road Closures around the county. Here is the first installment of the closures and how long they will be in effect.

Through February 2nd

Lane Construction will be closing northbound I 85 between exits #63 (Lane St.) and #68 (China Grove / U S 29/ N C 152) to remove the existing Daugherty road bridge over I 85

Through February 6th

Lane Construction will be closing southbound I 85 between exits #68  (China Grove / U S 29/ N C 152) and  #63 (Lane St.) to remove the existing Daugherty road bridge over I 85.

Through May 31st

South Central Ave. will be closed to Southbound traffic from Mill St to Hillside St. Starting 9:00 am on October 20, 2014 until further notice (Landis)

Replace the existing the Henderson Grove Church Road Bridge and Begin work on January 25, 2017@ 9:00 am and complete by end of May 2017 (Salisbury)

Through August 9th

The Daugherty Road bridge over I-85 is being replaced as part of the I-85 widening project.

Through September 1st

The Lentz Road bridge over I 85 is being replaced as part of the I 85 widening project

Through December 31st

The causeway of St. Matthews Church Road across High Rock Lake is closed to two-way traffic and commercial vehicles

Indefinitely

Landis

The Mill St. railroad crossing will close permanently between Main St. and Central Ave.

As part of the Railroad Improvement Projects the railroad crossing on E. 29th St. in Kannapolis  is Permanently closed.

China Grove/Landis

The contractor will be PERMANENTLY closing the railroad crossing on Eudy Rd. between Main St. and N. Chapel St.
