Afternoon highs in the lower 70s will be followed by a sharp temperature drop tonight, bringing conditions that mosquitoes struggle to survive in.
With the first hard freeze expected Monday night into Tuesday morning, mosquito season is officially coming to an end. The upcoming freeze will eliminate nearly all remaining mosquito activity as breeding areas freeze and overnight temperatures fall well below 30 degrees.
Residents may still see an occasional mosquito through this evening, but after Monday night, populations will drop to near zero until next spring.
Reminder:
Tomorrow’s Mosquito Forecast will be the final one of the season as the expected hard freeze Monday night into Tuesday morning brings an official end to mosquito activity for 2025.
