Veterans Day Forecast: Honoring Service Under Sunny but Cold Skies

After a weekend that ends with showers and a strong cold front, much colder air will settle into the region. Highs on Veterans Day (Tuesday) are expected to reach only the upper 40s under full sunshine, with light northwest winds. Morning lows will start in the mid-20s to near 30 degrees, marking one of the coldest mornings of the season so far.

The good news — skies will remain bright and dry throughout the day, creating ideal conditions for outdoor events, parades, and community gatherings across Rowan County and surrounding areas.

By Wednesday, temperatures will begin a slow rebound, climbing into the lower 60s under continued sunshine. However, another chilly night is expected Tuesday evening, with temperatures again dropping into the 30s.
