By Friday night, a cold front approaches from the west, bringing a 50 percent chance of scattered showers into early Saturday. Most of the rain will be brief, and sunshine quickly returns behind the front for the weekend.

However, a stronger system arrives late Sunday, and this one will pack a colder punch. Behind it, temperatures are expected to drop sharply — with daytime highs returning to the 50s and overnight lows dipping into the 30s early next week.
