advertise your local business here »For the first time in 51 days we have had measurable rainfall in Rowan County. This will end the longest dry streak in Rowan County history. The good news is we are not done yet and there is more rain coming late tonight and into the day tomorrow. So far here at the weather center we have had 0.42 inches of rain. I forecasted for the county to have around an inch by the time this event completes tomorrow evening. We are certainly on pace for that. The high today will top out around 69º

The winds are going to be gusty as you have certainly felt at times. Gust of around 30 miles per hour are possible throughout the day. certainly not a good sign for the wildfires burning to our west.

The rain has ended around the county for now but more rain is likely to move in during the overnight hours and throughout the day tomorrow.

I am looking for accumulations of around 1 inch around the county by the time the rain comes to an end on Wednesday.

The lows tonight will bottom our around 60º

Enjoy the remainder of your Tuesday everyone! As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
