Rain Update for next week

As we head through the weekend. rain chances for next week continue to look very promising. All of this hinges on the development of a low pressure system in the souther United States. The models continue to indicate this is likely to happen and with it some much needed rain falling in the county and the western North Carolina Mountains from late Monday Night to the afternoon and evening hours of Thursday. The good news is this appears to be a slow soaking rain event. Bringing rain totals of up to 2.5 inches of accumulation to the county. I am certainly hoping this continues to remain in the models. So far there have been a few minor changes that have come in the models but they continue to indicate a trend for rain.
