After a chilly and breezy stretch, Rowan County’s air is clearing out — and conditions are looking excellent heading into the weekend.

Pollen

Pollen levels remain low across the region. Cooler temperatures and recent rainfall have reduced most lingering weed and grass pollen. For allergy sufferers, this is one of the most comfortable stretches of the season so far.

Air Quality

Air quality readings across Rowan County remain in the “Good” range, with low particle concentrations. The calm, dry pattern will continue to support clean, clear air through the weekend. It’s an ideal setup for spending time outdoors or tackling fall yard work.

Soil Temperature

Soil temperatures across the area have been trending gradually cooler, now ranging from the mid-50s to upper-40s depending on location. This signals the shift toward late fall conditions. Gardeners can still take advantage of sunny afternoons for planting bulbs or finishing seasonal lawn maintenance before the soil cools further.

With crisp mornings, fresh air, and bright afternoons, the next few days look picture-perfect across Rowan County.
