Bus Stop Forecast | Tuesday, October 28th

Monday, October 27, 2025 - 2:35pm

A chilly, wet start is on the way for students and staff across Rowan County as rain continues through much of Tuesday.

Morning Arrival (6–8 AM)

Expect steady rain and patchy fog, with temperatures in the mid- to upper 40s and a north-northeast wind around 15 mph, gusting near 25 mph.
It will be cool and damp, so rain jackets and umbrellas are a must. Roads could have areas of standing water after the overnight rain.

Afternoon Dismissal (2–4 PM)

Showers will be tapering off to lighter rain by dismissal time, but skies will stay cloudy and gray. Temperatures will hover near 48–49°F, with a light north breeze continuing.
It’s still a jacket day, with puddles and soggy grounds lingering at most campuses.

Summary

  • Morning: Rain, fog, 47–48°F

  • Afternoon: Light rain possible, 48–49°F

  • Winds: NE 10–15 mph, gusts up to 25 mph

  • Rain gear: Highly recommended for both arrival and dismissal

Tuesday will be another damp and chilly school day — expect more of the same through the morning before we begin to see lighter showers by afternoon.
