Midday Outlook | Monday

Monday, October 27, 2025 - 12:10pm

A steady drizzle is hanging over Rowan County this afternoon as the wedge pattern keeps skies gray and cool.

At midday, it’s 50°F with light drizzle and a northeast wind near 8 mph, gusting up to 16 mph. The chill in the air makes it feel closer to 47°F, and that cool, damp pattern will continue through tonight.

This Afternoon

Expect light to moderate rain at times, with patchy fog and highs holding near 50°F. Winds will stay steady from the northeast around 10 mph, occasionally gusting over 20 mph.

Tonight

Rain continues into the evening before transitioning to showers after midnight. Patchy fog will linger, and temperatures will settle around 46°F overnight. Another ¾ to 1 inch of rain is possible before daybreak.

This is the kind of day for a slow drive, a warm drink, and a bit of patience — the rain will be with us through much of the night before lighter showers and breaks start showing up by Tuesday afternoon.
