Morning (6–8 AM):
Expect patchy fog early, especially near wooded or low-lying areas. Temperatures will sit in the low 60s, and humidity will be high — a little damp, but calm and quiet. Winds stay light out of the southeast, making for a mild ride to school. Allow a few extra minutes at intersections where fog may reduce visibility.
Afternoon (2–4 PM):
By dismissal, skies will be mostly sunny with a light south wind around 5–6 mph. Temperatures rise into the upper 70s to near 80°, feeling pleasantly warm for early October. Great weather for after-school practices, games, or bus rides home.
Tuesday Night:
Clouds will gradually increase with a 30% chance of showers after midnight, but most of the evening stays dry. Overnight lows will hold near 66°.
This looks like another good weather day for students across Rowan County before midweek rain chances return late Tuesday night into Wednesday.
