A low pressure system is forming near eastern Cuba and the southeastern Bahamas. Showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are ongoing.
This system is likely to become a tropical depression within the next day as it moves northwest or northward across the Bahamas.

Impacts so far: Heavy rain and gusty winds in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Turks and Caicos, SE Bahamas, and eastern Cuba, spreading into the rest of the Bahamas this weekend.
