Tropical Storm Humberto – Latest Discussion
-
Humberto remains a sheared tropical storm with winds near 40 knots (45 mph).
-
Forecast: Gradual strengthening expected. Once wind shear relaxes, Humberto is likely to become a hurricane this weekend and could reach major hurricane strength by early next week.
-
Track forecast remains uncertain due to its interaction with 94L. Some models take it farther east, others show a slower, westward motion.
Bottom Line:
The Atlantic is very active with two named storms and one developing system. Interests in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, and the Turks & Caicos should monitor closely.
