advertise your local business here »ROWAN COUNTY, NC (July 17, 2025 – 4:45 PM EDT) — A strong thunderstorm is currently impacting portions of northwestern Rowan County, as well as northern Iredell, northwestern Davie, and southeastern Alexander counties, according to the latest update from the National Weather Service.
At 4:32 PM, Doppler radar detected a strong storm roughly 8 miles northwest of Statesville, near Stony Point, tracking east at approximately 15 mph.
