(July 1, 2025) — Red, white, and racing thundered through Charlotte Motor Speedway as Round 6 of the Cook Out Summer Shootout, presented by PRO-FABrication Headers & Exhaust, delivered high-speed thrills despite weather shortening the evening’s slate. While the full lineup couldn’t go green, fans were treated to bold moves, heated battles, and double victories that lit up the track ahead of Independence Day.
Young Lions Turn Up the Heat
The Young Lions division stole the show with a dramatic, caution-filled feature headlined by Spencer Bradshaw, who claimed his fourth win of the season. Bradshaw’s road to victory wasn’t without fireworks. After overtaking early leader Alex Pate with a slick move inside Turn 1 on Lap 3, Bradshaw was locked in a tense battle with Ben Morabito following a restart just past halfway.
Morabito briefly snatched the lead, diving to the inside during a fierce side-by-side scrap, but Bradshaw muscled back to the front on Lap 22—making contact that sent Morabito back to fourth and cleared the way for Bradshaw’s checkered flag moment.

Brexton Busch Doubles Up Again
Brexton Busch once again proved he’s a force to be reckoned with, sweeping both the Bandits and Chargers divisions for the second straight night.
In the Bandits, Busch methodically moved through the pack to take the lead by Lap 10, holding off a late-race charge from James Behnke and Evan Johnson in a sprint to the finish.
In the Chargers, Busch was unstoppable from the drop of the green flag. Despite cautions that bunched up the field, Max Calles couldn’t catch him, and Busch rolled to another commanding victory—his fourth of the season across both divisions.
Other Division Winners from Round 6:
-
Josh Davenport – Beginner Bandoleros
-
Landon Thrasher – Outlaws
Due to weather delays, features for the VP Fuels Semi-Pro, Dilling Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical Pros, and American Rebel Ale Masters divisions will be made up on Tuesday, July 8 ahead of Round 7’s full race card.
