SALISBURY, N.C. — The first four weeks of June have delivered a classic Carolina weather swing—starting cool and dry before quickly turning hot, humid, and stormy. Based on official climate data for Salisbury, here’s a closer look at how June 2025 has shaped up so far.

A Cool Start

The opening week of June felt more like late spring than summer. From June 1–4, high temperatures stayed in the upper 70s to low 80s, and morning lows dropped into the mid–50s on multiple mornings. The average temperature for June 2 was just 66.5°F, which is 5.3 degrees below normal for the date.

Mid-Month Warmth Settles In

By the second week, temperatures climbed steadily, with most days reaching the mid-to-upper 80s. From June 8 through June 20, every single day had a high of 85°F or warmer. This stretch pushed the month’s average temperature upward, and many days ended up 2 to 4 degrees above normal.

  • As of June 27, total precipitation stands at 2.05 inches officially recorded, with additional amounts still pending for the final three days of the month.
