While this is the lowest category on the severe weather scale, it still means there is a chance for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms, particularly after 10 PM tonight.

What Does a Marginal Risk Mean?
A Marginal Risk is issued when conditions support the potential for isolated severe storms. These storms may be short-lived or not widespread, but they can still bring damaging wind gusts or frequent lightning in localized areas.

Today’s setup features a weak front sliding into the Carolinas during the evening hours. This boundary, combined with leftover heat and humidity from the day, could be enough to spark a few storms as the atmosphere destabilizes.
