A strong thunderstorm is currently moving through northeastern Cabarrus and southeastern Rowan County, and will continue to impact the area through 7:45 AM. The storm was located about 9 miles east of Downtown Concord, near Mt. Pleasant, and is tracking east at 40 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph

Pea-sized hail (up to 0.25 inches)
Radar has indicated this storm could bring minor hail damage to vehicles and outdoor items, along with gusty winds capable of knocking down small limbs or blowing around unsecured objects.

Mt. Pleasant

High Rock Lake
Residents in these areas should use caution, especially if outdoors. If you're in the path of this storm, it’s advised to seek shelter indoors until the threat passes.
